Write at the minimum a 1-page brief that answers the following questions. Use the National Environmental Public HealthTrackerLinks to an external site. featured in one of the data exercises, and this time, use both screens. Look across the categories of “Heat & Heat-related Illness (HRI)” and “Drought”. Choose two factors within or across those two categories that you think will impact one another. On the right screen choose one of these factors as you did in the data exercise, and when finished, select “New Data” on the right side map to choose the other factor. (1) Describe the relationship you have observed. What are the major hotspots and why? Can you find recent reports (news, government reports, research) that reinforce the pattern you observe, generally and in these hotspots? Explain. (2) Include a visual of the map you have created, and refer to it in your brief.  Notes (1) if you have technical difficulties with the split screen feature, it may be necessary to perform the two searches in separate windows; (2) there can be missing data for some states when selecting certain variables. In these cases, try to either select other variables to get a complete view.
