Answer the questions and turn in a sample letter of recommendation request for yourself.

Elements to keep in mind when drafting a request for a letter of recommendation:

Timelines are important – include when you would need the letter of recommendation.

If there are documents that would be helpful, or you think your intended recommendor would need, include those in the request itself.

The actual inclusion in your submission attachments isn’t necessary. Mentioning their existence within your request will more than suffice.
