Write a roughly paper addressing one of the following topics:

1. Suppose that life is absurd for the reasons that Camus claims. If that were the case, do you think Camus’s response is appropriate? If you agree with Camus, discuss at least one objection to his proposed response and reply to it. If you do not agree, say why, and briefly describe what you think might be a more fitting response.

2. How might Nietzsche or Sartre (pick one) respond to Camus’s argument that human life is absurd? Do you agree with that response? Why or why not?

3. Discuss what Sartre means by “abandonment.” Do you agree that we are abandoned in the way he describes? Why or why not?
