Brand Selection
Each student must select two competing brands within the same industry (e.g., Apple vs. Samsung, Coca-Cola vs. Pepsi, Nike vs. Adidas)
Background Research
Collect information about the history, values, mission, and vision of each brand
Analyze the target audience and market positioning of each brand
Evaluate the brand’s visual identity, including logos, colors, and design elements

- Compare and contrast the visual elements of each brand
- Analyze how each brand communicates its unique identity and values
Explore how the brands use storytelling and emotions in their branding
Marketing Strategies
Examine the marketing strategies employed by each brand

This project provides students with hands-on experience in analyzing and comparing real-world branding strategies, fostering a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in brand management. Successful completion of the project will include the following:
1.Prepare a five – eight page research assignment (which does not include the cover page and works cited page).
- 2.Any data, work, or facts mentioned in your project must be cited and referenced in your final report. For this paper you are expected to use the APA format.
- 3.Students will be assessed based on the depth of their research, along with their ability to critically analyze and compare branding strategies. Emphasis will be placed on insights gained and recommendations for each brand.
