A strategic goal of any healthcare organization is the quality performance of the employees. The Institute of Medicine (1998) created the most accepted definition of quality in the healthcare industry: patient services current with scientific knowledge that result in a desired health outcome. Research information on high-performance organizations and provide 5 strategic methods that could be used to improve employee productivity in the healthcare organization, impacting quality.
The purpose of this assignment is to help students become comfortable reading journal articles and how to critique them. I have provided two videos in this section for students to watch. However, I uploaded other video resources to help reinforce your understanding under Course Content. I ask that you take time to watch them as time permits because a significant part of your grade is writing a literature review.
Read the attached journal article.
After reading the article write a critique using the processes provided in the video. The critique should not exceed 2 1/2 pages focusing heavily on the literature review.
Competency
In this project, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following competency:
· Apply your psychological knowledge to develop a social change identity
Scenario
Your identity is a diverse collection of the perceptions and experiences that shape the lens through which you see the world. Throughout our development, our identities are in a constant state of flux: snapshots of our attitudes, interests, and aspirations at a given moment in time. As we explore the social themes that matter to us, our identities reflect how we think, how we feel, and who we are, right now. For this project, you will reflect on various psychological and social factors to develop your social change identity.
Directions
Using the learning from your Module One and Module Two Milestone assignments, along with the Social Change Identity Vocabulary List, you will address the following rubric criteria to construct your own definition of your social change identity. Write at least one paragraph for each of the following:
· Describe the ways in which your personality traits have influenced the development of your social change identity.
· Describe the ways in which your lived experiences have influenced the development of your social change identity.
· Describe the ways in which your social influences have influenced the development of your social change identity.
· Describe the ways in which your willingness to be psychologically vulnerable has influenced the development of your social change identity.
