Assignment 1
• Write a 4-5 page paper on the topic of a famous engineer.
• The engineer can be from any discipline, time in history, and part of the world. The engineer does not have to be a household name, if you can find published information about the individual, that is sufficient.
• Your paper must cover a biography of the engineer.
• Your paper must discuss, in detail, several of the engineer’s professional accomplishments in the field. When you discuss the engineering accomplishments, talk about the challenges that had to be overcome during the work.
• Your paper must include a paragraph or two discussing how the engineer and their work helped people.
• Your paper must include references or citations for where you got your information!! I do not require a specific citation style but you need to include enough detail so that someone can look up the reference.
