INTRODUCTORY SPEECH ASSIGNMENT

Requirements:
This is a one to two minute speech of self-introduction. The purpose of this assignment is to give you a chance to “break the ice” with the audience. Begin your speech by introducing yourself (name, year, major and hometown at least) then develop the body of your speech according to one of the following description:
( Name, Third Year, 5th semester, Zayed University,IntegratedStrategic Communication,
Abu Dhabi (UAE) )

1. Bring in an object that represents who you are or would like to be. Include in your talk, how the object represents you. If the object is too large to bring (or is not allowed on campus such as weapons or live animals), you may use a picture or a model. Remember, we are not interested in the object itself, but rather in what the object reveals about you.( IN MY CASE ITS MY DAD PHOTO ALBUM)

Notes to help you within writing the assignment:

– The object I have choose to talk about is my dad photo album. And the pictures taken by him through the years of 1999- 2005 in (Abu Dhabi)
– – My dad’s passion with the sea and sail boats because of my grandfather that used to join sailboat contestants and win big headlines and trophies.
– Which comes in relation of me growing up by the beach and always enjoy staying by the beach
– Loving the beach due to my dad
– Going to the beach has always been an essential thing in my childhood until now, since I was a child, I used to wake up early mornings by 5am or 6am and go swimming with dad on weekends
– I enjoy sharing all the sea activates with my dad (likecruising on a boat or fishing or spending time by the beach with my dad and family that all love the beach.
– Gives me so much inspiration and someone I look up too
– And because I spent the majority of my childhood by the beach/sea I have become I deep thinker/ helped me unwind my thoughts / inner peace/ appreciate life more.
– The sea has given me so much amazing and unforgettable memories, made me ( connect more to reality, familial bonds , memories

2. Organize your ideas. Make sure the speech has an introduction, body, and a conclusion. APA STYLE
– Include a title please
– I have attached the outline (SPEECH OUTLINE) that must be filled before writing the speech itself since my teacher is going to use it as a reference when grading. Please follow the outline carefully.
– A rubric is attached also. (Aiming for An A Grade please!)
– As well as photos of the album.
– So in the end I must have an filled outline and a speech with ( Intro, body, conclusion). No plagiarism must occur.
