In this assignment, you will look at a minor league sport and pick a team that competes in it. ( You can choose your team of preference.

Research different types of media coverage of this team, including:

Traditional media coverage (coverage in digital, broadcast and print outlets of all sizes)
In-house media (the team, sport, league or tournament’s own coverage of the sport (typically found on the team’s website, blog, social media handles and other platforms such as podcasts, YouTube or similar venues). In the major league example, this might mean the Diamondbacks’ coverage of the team or MLB’s coverage of the Diamondbacks.
Citizen media — fans’ coverage (on blogs and social media)
Personal media — athletes’ or staff members’ own coverage on their social media, website and other digital platforms

Select two pieces of media from each of the four types above.

Give each one a label (report about team’s loss, team profile, team career story or another relevant category)
Give each one a sentiment (positive, negative, neutral).

Submit an 800+-word essay reflecting on what you learned from researching these and other stories about the team you chose. Attribute your sources within the body of your text using clear attribution language (e.g. “According to…” or “[Source] says…”), and link to each source.

At minimum, your essay should cover the following points:

What do the stories you researched about your team have in common?
What do you notice is different about the coverage of this team from platform to platform?
What have you learned about media coverage of sports from this analysis?
