In the description of a “Critical Incident – Two Schools – Two Different Cultures,” Owens describes two principals who have created two very different cultures in their schools.

Read and reflect on this scenario (Owens, pp. 209–210) and answer the following questions in a short reflection.

What are the positive and negative attributes of each principal?
What type of climate and culture would you say characterize each school?
With which principal would you rather work? Why?
Which scenario will more closely resemble your school, when you become the principal?
