Short Story review

Description

OPTION 1

Choose ONE of the short stories we read and write an essay in response to it. First, summarize the story briefly and then push beyond to relate it to today’s world/issues (and yourself). How do you relate to it? Make meaning from interpreting the story and connecting it to yourself and larger social issues and teach us something about the significance of literature to our lives.

OPTION 2

Compare/contrast TWO of the stories we read and offer an argument about them (like how they are similar and/or different and why it matters (or which is more effective in relating the message to the reader). Make meaning from interpreting the stories and teach us something brilliant.

Whichever prompt you choose I will evaluate it by the criteria below.

Then write a 1.5 (one and a half) page explanation of why you made the changes you did, citing the story and course concepts in your reflection. Be sure to quote from the story in your reflection as you explain why you made the changes you made to it.
