You are the network administrator of a small service company. You have just received the following email from your manager:

Subj: Firewall Assessment

I am preparing a risk statement for our shareholders and I need to include an assessment of our firewall. I know we are using the ipFire open source firewall. Are there any known vulnerabilities associated with it?

Please send me a short write up that lists any vulnerabilities with the ipFire firewall. I need to know what the vulnerability is, where you found it, how it would affect our network, and if there’s anything we should do to mitigate the risk.

Finally, I would like your overall assessment if we should continue to use the ipFire firewall.
