Look up the air quality in one area of the world using the following interactive map: https://waqi.info/Links to an external site.. You can choose any area in the world – it can be near where you live, an area you’ve previously lived, an area you have family living, an area you’ve visited, an area that you’d like to visit, etc. To play around with the map, start by clicking on one area of the world. You can keep moving around the world, or you can also use the “Search” feature that will appear at the bottom of the window after clicking on one area.

Your initial discussion board post should answer the following questions:

1. What city/area are you looking into? What is the air quality index (AQI, a number between 0-500) and the air quality scale (good, moderate, unhealthy for sensitive groups, unhealthy, very unhealthy, or hazardous) for this area?

2. What is the cause of the air quality in the area you have selected? You can use a Google search to help inform you of the cause of the air quality (for example: “cause of air quality/pollution in _____”). If you use a website, please cite the source of your information – for this assignment, you can simply paste the URL where you found the information.

3. What are some of the health effects that could result from exposure to air pollution in the area you have selected?
