The paper assignment is a brief (about 600 word) or about 2 page original paper in Microsoft Word format, based on 3 Current research articles.

AI tools such as ChatGPT are NOT allowed.

Please follow these steps:

1. Choose a Topic: a current Question of interest from the course.

(Example: What are new medications for treatment resistant depression?)

2. Locate and read 3 recent (within last 2 years 2023 or 2024) empirical research articles on this topic that you find using PubMed. (For my example: depression treatment 2024)

3. Write: Write in Microsoft Word .doc or .docx format:

A. An introductory paragraph posing the question you asked.

B Then summarize briefly the methods, results and conclusions of each paper.

C. Conclude with a paragraph summarizing how your 3 paper answered your question.

IMPORTANT The main point of this assignment is to be sure to cite in APA style in the text of your paper with the first author’ name and year of the article , and list the three sources you use in APA formatted reference list at the end of your paper.

Be aware of the importance of using your own words to summarize. Do not use quotations unless absolutely necessary (e.g. for a unique technical term that can not be put in your words). If you need to add a small technical quote be sure to put Quotation Marks around the words that are not your own. Do not plagiarize unintentionally! Be sure to cite author and year of publication in the body of your paper to give credit where credit is due!
