Imagine you are instructing a class about trauma through the life span.

• Compare and contrast the distinct differences in PTSD symptoms in children verses adults.
• Analyze how intergenerational trauma is passed throughout different generations.
• Identify two to three behavior health disorders that are commonly confused or comorbid with PTSD.
• Explain how resiliency and protective factors influence the development of PTSD.
• Explain the long-term cognitive and physical effects of trauma throughout the life span.
• Identify one to two treatment approaches that would be useful in childhood and adulthood to treat PTSD, and justify why they would be effective with the specific age group.
