Task

Craft an argument about on your public argument topic from the position that you personally disagree with. The argument must include the following items.

• The argument must be 2 – 3 pages long. It must be formatted in the following ways:
  • 12-point font, Times New Roman or Calibri font, double-spaced, 1-inch margins, and include page numbers.
  • A cover page with the title, your name, and date. No abstract needed.
  • The document must be submitted as a Word document or pdf file. No Google documents or pages will be accepted.
  • The reference page with a list of sources used will not count toward the page length.
• An introductory paragraph that includes a strong thesis statement that is a fact, value, or policy-based.
• A body that includes 2-3 sub-arguments that are fully developed to support the thesis statement.
• A concluding paragraph that sums up the argument and restates the thesis statement.
• Utilize research to support the argument. Use at least 3 sources and 1 source must be scholarly.
  • All sources used must be listed on the reference page using APA formatting. All information used from sources must be cited in-text within the argument utilizing APA formatting.
  • All sources must be credible and Wikipedia may not be used. Research from the Research Bracket Challenge may be used although not required.
• Written at a collegiate writing level. The argument should be free of grammar, syntax, and spelling errors and I recommend that you take time to review and revise the argument.
