• Lack of proper sex education or even exclusion of sex education all together in middle schools makes middle school students in particular lack proper knowledge on sexual health resulting to high rates of teenage pregnancies and STIs.
• Lack of effective education creates ignorance resulting to poor knowledge and attitudes towards sexuality issues hence enhancing stigmatization.

1. Solution:

• Implement comprehensive sex education programs that will engage and educate the middle school students on issues to do with the human body, contraceptives, consent, and healthy relationships.
• Ensure there is provision of evidence-based, age-appropriate lessons which will help the students to make informed decisions about sexual health.
