Question #1 (42 points)– questions about the company and industry: A. Based on the site of the company, describe four different activities in the value chain of the company, two of each type of activities (12 points). B. (1) Specify the product mix of Nike based on its site. (2) Choose one of its product lines. Assume the company wants to increase its length and suggest two different ways to accomplish it (12 points). C. Refer to the case study and the descriptions about the wearable technology industry and perform an analysis of the attractiveness of the industry based on Porters’ five competitive forces model for competition analysis (you may make any additional rational assumption to complete the analysis, if needed) (18 points).

Question #2 (42 points) – questions about the new product – The Nike x Hyperice shoe: A. (1) Identify, as learned, two different relevant target markets for the Nike x Hyperice shoe described in the case study. (2) Choose one of them as the main target market and justify your choice (8 points). B. Suggest one (additional) branding element for the new product (besides its name). It might be a sign, symbol, presenter, slogan, color etc. Explain your choice, including how it contributes to the positioning of the product and determine its effectiveness, as learned (12 points). C. Choose two of the different moments of truths (MOTs) we learned about and suggest for Nike two ways in which it can create/manage each of the two MOTs, in order to acquire, retain or develop customers for the new product. For each, briefly describe the activity and which objective you will attain by it (10 Points). D. (1) Identify the growth strategy Nike chose while starting to market The Nike x Hyperice shoe. (2) Suggest two more, different ways in which it can grow in two distinct different ways (give specific examples) (12 points).

Question #3 (14 points): Find a short professional (not academic) article from the past 6 months (not before 1.8.24) about “Differentiation and positioning” or about “psychological pricing” (these should be your search terms in google). Present 3 key ideas of the article, while demonstrating it on the new product of Nike: The Nike x Hyperice shoe. (14 points). Attach the link to the article at the end of your answer .
