The SWOT analysis, also known as a Situation Analysis, is an analysis of the firms internal and external environments. The internal environment is identified by Strengths (S) and Weaknesses (W). The external environment is identified by the Opportunities (O) and Threats (T).

External Environment:

1. Select a Fortune 500 corporation (Excluding Apple, Amazon, and Walmart).
2. Describe the components of the External Environment for your corporation. Be sure to include the opportunities and threats.
3. Identify specific examples that support your findings.
4. Discuss the industry lifecycle and how it influences the strategic choices.

*** For each of the discussion topics, your original post shall be a minimum of 500 words and include at least three authoritative sources. Reply to at least two other student’s original post with a minimum of 300 words and two authoritative sources. 2. Identify their competitive advantages and their value chain.
3. Benchmark their performance in two or three areas relative to the competition.
