Science project
Description
project is on how a light filter cover that would go over lights that shine on the beach and cover whatever is harmful towards the beach DO NOT USE TURTLES in the project as a way the artificial light is harmful this is a novel idea so everything should be made by you for experiment should test the light filter
Hypothesis- If the Novel light filter lens is placed over the artificial light at 1 meter above the ground on the beach and covers the artificial light which shows 5 meters of the ground towards the ocean shore, then the light filter lens will block 3 meters of the artificial light and would not be mistaken for the moon. EVERY COMPONENT SHOULD HAVE ITS OWN SLIDE the components should be in the same order on the slides too, the first three question go on the same slide make this on a powerpoint presentation
RUBRIC – Science Fair Project 2024-2025
Components | PossiblePoints | EarnedPoints |
Is the proposed solution, to the existing problem affecting the Marine Science World, authentic & original? | 10
Is the authentic & original solution testable through a well-established experiment and its measurable results given in quantitative data? | 10
Does the authentic & original solution have a positive world impact? | 10
Background Research-Discuss ideas, experiments and/or research that other people already worked on related to your solution (give name & approximate time of their work), then correlate/relate it back to your proposed solution. Remember that everything that you are working on (whether an original solution or improving a solution) has already been investigated at some level. | 10
TITLE-Title of project.-Title should indicate what the study is about.-Title can be presented in a creative design | 5
PROBLEM STATEMENT-State the purpose and/or what was investigated in your experiment in a question form. | 5
HYPOTHESIS (If and then FORMAT)-Statement that predicts a solution to the problem in an “If and Then Format” statement only (not a question!).-Hypothesis must mentioned the independent variable (the solution to the problem) and a dependent variable you are predicting must be a numerical value (Metric System value). | 5
MATERIALS-List all materials used in the experiment.-List the quantity (or number) of materials used. | 5
PROCEDURES-List using numbers the step by step on how the experiment was performed.-Explained and identify which are the independent, dependent, constant and control variables.–All measurements should be done in the SI – Metric System.-Repeat the experiment at least three times to calculate the averageresponse or effect.-Calculate % error using an accepted value. | 5
OBSERVATIONS/DATA/GRAPHS/PICTURES/DIAGRAMS-Must have AT LEAST one data table.-Must have AT LEAST one graph (line, bar, scatter or pie, depends on data)-Must have 5 original photographs | 10
RESULTS-Describe what happened in the experiment.-Explain data in past tense.-Give results in SI Units (METRIC) of measurements with corresponding units of measurements. | 10
CONCLUSIONS-Explain whether your hypothesis was supported or disproven by thedata gathered- Explain HOW the evidence (data) supports or not the hypothesis.- Explain any unusual or unexpected findings.- Evaluate the methods used in the experiment- Explain procedural errors in the experiment.- Recommendations on how improve the project.- Explain the real world impact and benefit that the project has. |
