One’s personal attributes definitely affect their skills, yet it is the leader’s skills themselves that are most important in addressing organizational problems. As such, both training and experience aid in the development of leadership skills.
The skills model consists of three competencies: problem-solving skills, social judgment skills, and knowledge. The sum total of these three yield effective leadership (Figure 3.2).
The skills inventory assessment will provide insight into your leadership competencies. Use what you learn from your assessment results to guide your engagement.
