2) The Joint Commission is a great website to find current core measures related to ACS

▪ A literature search of current peer-reviewed journal articles would also be valuable to attain additional information

3) Provide a brief overview of CIS systems

▪ What is CIS?

▪ What does CIS promote?

▪ How is CIS systems applicable to patient safety and quality outcomes?

4) What data would you expect to be included in the CIS system

▪ What would be documented related to ACS for the Joint Commission to track to determine progress of core measure components?

▪ (consider what happens once a patient arrives to the ER and then is discharged – what would you expect to be charted?)
