There are norms and symbols associated with sports, both for players and for those watching the games. For example, baseball players regularly keep sunflower seeds in their mouths while they play (and spit them out!) and basketball fans try to distract opposing players attempting free throws by shaking things and making loud noises.

For this discussion, begin by using a piece of scratch paper to list as many norms and symbols associated with two different sports as you can in 5 mins.
