Capitolism vs Socialism

Where do you stand?
Spread the wealth as been a hot topic over the last several years due to the influence of President Obama’s Administration. Hopefully you know more about this topic than you did previously. Have you changed your stance on this issue?
Spread the wealth is a Socialist (Command Economy) concept in which successful, working taxpayers are taxed at higher and higher rates to support government spending on entitlement programs. This is the exact opposite of Adam Smith’s Laissez-Faire capitalism on which this country was founded.
Adam Smith believed that all people would benefit through less government intervention. Adam Smith referred to the “invisible hand”, that society pursuing their own self interest would create more jobs than government could through entitlements. This concept has worked for the USA for 235 years, and has producing the highest standard of living in the world. How do you feel about Laissez-Faire Capitalism vs. government hand outs?

Today, the Trump administration has taken a 360 degree turn from the approach of the Obama Administration as it more resembles Adam Smith’s Laissez-fair Capitalism. This is a good topic for discussion, but please be respectful if you disagree with someone. Feel free to do some basic internet research to support your opinions.
