Appraisal of Evidence Paper- Quantitative Research

The purpose of this paper is to appraise/evaluate research articles for merit. You will select a quantitative research paper and post it in the module, along with your evaluation paper. Your article must come from a peer-reviewed research journal. Follow APA 7th Edition guidelines for this assignment (title page, abstract, heading, page numbers, double-space, reference page, etc.). Maximum four pages of text, plus title page, abstract and reference page.

Your Evidence Appraisal paper will be required to have the following elements/criteria:
1. Description of the issue/problem addressed in the article
2. Importance of the topic to nursing (clinical practice/education/nursing research)
3. Purpose of the study
4. The Conceptual model/Theoretical framework of the article
5. The review of the literature stated in the article
6. The research question/aims/hypothesis
7. The research design
8. Variables or phenomena of interest
9. Ethical protection of sample (IRB information)
10. Sample and setting
11. Implication of sample and setting to topic
12. Data collection (what, how)
13. Data Analysis (how)
14. Results obtained
15. Implications for nursing (clinical practice/education/nursing research)
16. Limitations of the study
17. APA Format
18. Four pages of text limit
