After reading reviewing prior assessments of a school/department of nursing, the student will write a 7-page paper in current APA format creating a plan for the success of a nursing school/department.

The Background information will include information on each of the following:

§ Choose one stakeholder group that impacts the outcomes of the school/department
· What is the rationale for choosing this group?
· What is the current engagement of the group?
· Mission/Vision Awareness
§ Choose one group to improve mission awareness
· What is the rationale for choosing this group?
· What is the current impact of the group’s lack of mission awareness?
· Assessment and Accreditation
§ Choose at least one accreditation standard that needs improvement. Your school may meet the standard, but more can be done to improve it.
· Overview this standard
· What is current practice?
· What is the rationale to support practice change? (find supporting sources)
· What is your recommendation?

The Plan will include:

· Stated goal (based on the assessment)
· Action steps to achieve the goal including how you will introduce key individuals to the new plan
· Measurable data for each goal
· Assessment plan (to include timeframe)
· Expected outcomes if the goal is achieved

The paper must be 7 pages excluding a title page, abstract, and reference page in current APA format.
